last night, eric and i went to wegman's to pick up an ice cream cake. his nephew/godson will be visiting for the next few days, so we are going to have a birthday celebration.
i had a reusable insulated shopping bag to put the cake in, since it was so warm yesterday.
after the clerk scanned the cake, he said, "do you want this in a bag?"
and i said, "you can just give it to me - i have a 'fridgerator bag right here i'm gonna put it in."
what the HELL. who taught me that word... fridgerator? to my knowledge, i have never used the word before.
i was instantly embarrassed.
i am still embarrassed.
how did this happen?
